Jeremy Sands - P.E.
Director of Operations
Jeremy has been around construction his whole life—the grandson of a contractor and the son of two engineers, it’s safe to say building runs in his blood. He earned his engineering degree from The University of Tennessee and is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), bringing years of hands-on experience in construction, manufacturing, and engineering consulting to the table.
The idea for Sands Design Services started with a favor for a friend and quickly grew into a full-fledged business when Jeremy saw how much the residential market needed reliable, build-ready construction documents. Since then, the business has expanded to serve both residential and commercial clients, offering everything from custom home plans to 3D modeling, BIM coordination/clash detection, and VDC services.
Jeremy focuses on producing clear, code-compliant plans that contractors can actually use—whether that’s for material takeoffs, permit approvals, or keeping projects on schedule.
He works from his home office in Maryville, Tennessee, where he enjoys time with his wife, daughters, and two very spoiled dogs.

Kalie brings both creative vision and operational savvy to Sands Design Services as the Director of Business Development. With a degree in design for web and print, her passion for problem-solving has expanded into helping Jeremy craft functional, practical home layouts that balance creativity with everyday use.
She wears many hats—overseeing the creative direction of projects while managing behind-the-scenes operations like marketing, client relations, and accounting to keep everything running smoothly.
Kalie works from her home in Maryville, Tennessee, where she lives with her husband, daughters, and their two dogs. When she’s not working, she’s usually reading, planning the next family adventure, or enjoying a well-earned cup of coffee.
